How to Adjust the Relative Humidity of Fruit and Vegetable Cold Storage?

2021/11/16

The regulation of relative humidity in cold storage is not a simple problem, which is related to the water content of fruits and vegetables stored in cold storage, but also indirectly affects the freshness and life activities of fruits and vegetables.

Fruits and vegetables are stored in cold storage for a long time, during this time the water will slowly evaporate, which not only reduces the weight of fruits and vegetables, but also makes fruits and vegetables become wrinkled and affects their commercial value, so the regulation of relative humidity in fruit and vegetables cold storage needs to be controlled well.

The relative humidity of fruit and vegetable storage can be adjusted by regulating the evaporation temperature in the refrigeration system of the cold storage.

For example, when you want to adjust the relative humidity of the cold storage at 90%, the evaporation temperature of the cold storage refrigeration system can be adjusted to 5~6℃ lower than the cold storage temperature. When you want to control the relative humidity in the cold storage at 80%, the evaporation temperature of the cold storage system can be adjusted to 6~7℃ lower than the cold storage temperature, and when you want to control the relative humidity in the cold storage at 75%. The evaporation temperature of the cold storage refrigeration system can be adjusted to 7~9℃ lower than the cold storage temperature, that is, the temperature and relative humidity cooperate with each other and restrict each other.
